Education is being targeted, and WE are being targeted.

And yet, LGBTQ Leaders in Higher Education is not going away–either as an organization, or as people. Whatever happens next year, we need organizations that will help hold our communities together. 

As a supporter, you should know that in 2024 we–  

• Held our largest post-pandemic Leadership Institute, with over 140 participants, 

• Started a successful webinar series, featuring a spectrum of international speakers, and

• Increased our institutional and individual membership (below).

The forces of opposition are newly energized, and we need your help to stay ready and stay active. LGBTQ Leaders in Higher Education has a new strategic plan. (You can read it here.) In it we pledge to– 

• Build a sustainable organization,

• Expand our programs and services, including mentoring, and

• Redouble our advocacy efforts. 

We know that queer leadership matters, representation at the highest levels in higher education matters, and we add value to higher education. We need to keep strengthening LGBTQ Leaders in Higher Education to help our community in areas where the attacks are most virulent, where laws have been passed against DEI efforts, where even certain words have been scrubbed from program names, titles, and websites.
